Materials You’ll Need:

12 eggs (or as many as you want to make)

Optional a pin or small nail (to make holes)

Small confetti (store-bought or homemade)

Glue and tissue paper (for sealing)

Food coloring (optional for dyeing the eggs)

A bowl to catch the egg (if you want to save them for cooking)

Scissors

Newspaper or paper towels (for drying)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Eggs - Two options:

The first option is to blow the egg out using by gently poking a hole at both ends using a pin or small nail (this part is best done by an adult or older child).Then hold the egg over a bowl and gently blow through one of the holes. If your kids are old enough, they can take turns blowing out the contents into a bowl to be used later. You can also show them how to gently tap the egg on the counter to make the holes bigger and help the contents come out.

The second option (this is the method we use!) is to crack just the top of the egg to create a small hole, about an inch big, to pull the egg out of. Here is a video showing you how.

Once the egg is emptied, rinse it with warm water to clean out any egg residue, then let them dry completely on paper towels or newspaper.

2. Decorate the Eggs:

Now, let your kids’ creativity flow! Dye the eggs using food coloring, or let your kids use markers, stickers, or paint to decorate the eggs. This is a great chance for them to get really creative, whether they want to use their favorite colors or make funky patterns!

Let the decorated eggs dry completely before filling them with confetti.

You will just a bigger piece of tissue paper to cover it.
